There is away around this still using hik connect , and port forwarding, this makes it fast and stable if you like I can post the document I have made explaining this ?

For some people DDNS will not be an option as it still requires port forwards that the IT overlords might not approve.

We have a cheap entry level device that removes the need for any port forwards or DDNS on the site, its just plug and play, no replacing the customers router or even touching it. Support Geo Locked ports so UK only access etc, then there is quick set up VPN...

Also your Hik Connect will still work if you want a backup.
